The annual New York demonstration takes place over the last Weekend of June, commemorating a riot which took place in the early hours of 28 June 1969 at the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street NYC after yet another police raid on 'illegal' gay hangouts

How Did It Start?
Back in 2001, Dario Jaen, Vice-President of GLAY (Gay Lesbian Association Yumbo) along with City officials and business owners from the Yumbo Commercial Center, organised the first gay pride celebration on the Island
